MUSIC EQUIPMENT AND INSTRUMENT AUCTION
The unique and private collection of Peter and Betty Hudson will be on sale at 10am on Sunday 20 March at 2 Capel Court Bentley. The collection includes restored antique pianos, pianolas, mini pianos, piano stools and organs all ready to go.

COMMUNITY ARTS NETWORK (CAN) FUNDING
Do you need funding for a community arts project, event, or professional development? Community Arts Network (CAN) has grants of up to $15,000 available through the Catalyst Community Arts Fund. The next round closes at 5pm on Wednesday 30 March, so make sure you get your applications in!

STORIED MUSIC WORKSHOP
This two evening workshop, led by award winning* storyteller Allan Girod, is for singers, songwriters, musicians and composers, who wish to learn about storytelling and how it can take their music and stagecraft into new places. This event will take place on Tuesday 15 and Tuesday 22 March between 7-9.30pm at The Blue Room Theatre.

Decadance (Joondalup) is looking for energetic, confident and bubbly personalities to fill various positions. An energetic and fun personality to be a DJ/Dancer with the ability to interact with children, be confident with a mic, love music and spinning tunes.

Primary Music Institute offers various fun and rewarding part time roles and are currently seeking music teachers in the fields of Concert band (woodwind or brass), guitar and keyboard. The inaugural film competition is now open for entries with $12K of prizes on offer for filmmakers and musicians as part of the new national initiative to focus on the importance of Australian contemporary live music. Entries close April 1.

DCA GRANTS PROGRAM
The new DCA Grants Program has just been announced, with changes now allowing for individuals, groups and arts organisations to apply for different types of funding in five categories including Creative Development, Commercial Development, Community Engagement, Aboriginal Arts, and Scholarship and Fellowships.

WOMEX 2016 PROGRAM
One of the leading platforms for global music, WOMEX has ushered in the call for proposals for their 2016 edition. Musicians, industry insiders and filmmakers from all around the globe can apply for the Showcase Festival, the DJ Summit, as well as for the Conference and Film programs at WOMEX 16, which takes place in Spain this October.

APRA AMCOS: HILLTOP HOODS INITIATIVE
Looking for some help to get your career off the ground? Think you can put $10,000 to good use releasing an album or EP?  The Hilltop Hoods Initiative offers an up-and-coming Australian hip hop or soul artist a grant to help fund the manufacture, marketing and distribution of a release of five or more songs.

THE BEAT STARTS HERE
Applications are now open for The Beat Starts Here 2016. The conducting course for teachers and community conductors takes place in Sydney from 9 – 13 April. Tailored to suit you, this course will enhance and develop your conducting skills. You’ll conduct professional pianists and instrumentalists while receiving expert instruction.

WA’S MUSEUM ARTS PROJECT
The State Government is inviting expressions of interest from local and international artist teams with WA’s new Museum scheduled to open in 2020. Artists will play a significant role in defining what will make the New Museum extraordinary and memorable. As a driving principle, the Public Art Project will explore multiple opportunities for engagement, drawing on artists and artist teams to work alongside architects, designers, curators, diverse cultural groups and the wider community.

YOUTH SONGWRITER GRANT
Applications are now open for the Young Songwriter Grant with Nanga Music Festival, aimed at people aged between 14- 25 who write their own music and are looking for a place to showcase their work. You could receive mentorship from a Nanga Music Festival artist, a free weekend ticket and accommodation at the festival, and opportunities to perform as a solo artist and more.

APRA AMCOS x JOSH PYKE PARTNERSHIP
APRA AMCOS
, in conjunction with Josh Pyke, is bringing back the Josh Pyke Partnership for 2016, awarding a lucky Australian musician with a $7500 grant to kick-start their music career. In addition to the financial reward, the winning artist will receive mentorship from Josh Pyke himself and a meeting with Gregg Donovan (Wonderlick Entertainment) and Stephen Wade (Select Music). Applications close on March 31.
