CONTROL APPLICATIONS CLOSE SOON FOR MANAGERS
CONTROL‘s dynamic five stage program is designed to help music managers from Australia and New Zealand thrive in this new music paradigm, and applications for it close soon. The first lab will take place in Melbourne from 27-30 November 2016. Mid-career music managers from both sides of the Tasman are encouraged to apply with applications closing 30 September.
FINAL CALL FOR CATALYST GRANT APPLICATIONS
Catalyst closes 30 September 2016 for projects starting from 1 January 2017. CAN will host two FREE events to assist applicants seeking funding for their community arts project, or community artists seeking research and development grants. Catalyst funding has contributed to WAM’s regional programs and is a great place to start for community artists.

ONE WEEK LEFT FOR 2017 FAIRBRIDGE FESTIVAL APPLICATIONS
Fairbridge Festival is back in 2017, from 21-24 April, and is open to musicians as well as artists who can deliver interesting workshops/presentations. Applications close 16 September.
THE UNIFIED GRANT ANNOUNCEMENT
UNIFIED announce their brand new initiative- The Unified Grant, comprising of five x $5000 grants. The grants are offered to driven young creatives who want to work in music but don’t play an instrument eg. photographers, producers, videographers, graphic designers. Applications are now open and will close on 31 October.
FINALISING ENTREES FOR SHOWTIME TALENT QUEST
The Cannington Exhibition Centre & Showground are currently in the midst of finalising entries for the Showtime Talent Quest. Final two heats: Friday 30 September and Wednesday 26 October, with registrations still being accepted.The winning musician of the talent quest will take out the grand prize of flights to Singapore (thanks to Scoote), cash prize, trophy, as well as the chance to perform at the Canning Show’s main stage. COUNTRY MUSIC BOOTCAMP IN BOYUP BROOK
Shooting for the Stars Bootcamp and Showcase is targeting WA all genres and styles of Country Music (rock, folk, bluegrass etc) and will work on raising skills and professionalism in groups and sessions for the more advanced. Successful applicants will be required to travel to Boyup Brook for the 4-6 November 2016 with opportunities to perform at the 2017 Boyup Brook Country Music Festival. Registrations will close on 4 October.
ACMF’S NATIONAL SONGWRITING COMP
The Australian Children’s Music Foundation (ACMF) announces their 14th annual National Songwriting Competition designed to encourage creativity and self-expression through songwriting. Open to school age students across Australia with the chance to win a share of thousands of dollars worth of musical equipment, tuition and more. The Australia Council for the Arts is currently offering international residency opportunities for Australian artists in a variety of exciting international locations. DCA GRANTS PROGRAM
The new DCA Grants Program has just been announced, with changes now allowing for individuals, groups and arts organisations to apply for different types of funding in five categories including Creative Development, Commercial Development, Community Engagement, Aboriginal Arts, and Scholarship and Fellowships. DCA encourages all applicants to ensure their applications are in alignment with all criteria and to read all applicant resources.
CITY OF JOONDALUP ARTS DEVELOPMENT SCHEME
