Australia Council’s International Residencies Program

International residencies provide unique opportunities for artists across all artforms to immerse themselves in new arts communities, broaden their knowledge and contribute to the presence of Australian artists around the world. The Australia Council for the Arts is currently offering international residency opportunities for Australian artists in a variety of exciting international locations. Applications for the International Residencies Program close on Tuesday 4 October 2016. More information on applying for the program is available here

The Goods Shed Workshop for WA Artists

Western Australian artists have an opportunity to attend a workshop led by Paul Collard (UK Creative Learning expert) and one of the projects international teaching artists (Paul Gorman or Yaminay Nasir Chaudhri) during Aug 26-29 or Sept 13 & 14. Workshops are open to artists with professional practice in an arts or creative discipline, who are interested in working within schools or educational settings as teaching artists, as well as artists interested in mentoring young people in WA. North-West Festival are also looking for people to fill various roles locally in the following positions: wrist banders, ticket scanners, campsite assistants, VIP volunteers, parking and gate marshals and general festival staff. APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR 2017 NANNUP FESTIVAL
Artists of all kinds are invited to apply to perform at the March 2017 Nannup Festival. This is a great opportunity to share your music at a festival with a chilled vibe and happy, music loving crowd.

FREMANTLE FESTIVAL 2016 – ARTIST FUNDING
In 2016, the Fremantle Festival continues to provide funding for community organisations and artists wishing to present projects at any time of the year in Fremantle through their Community Development funding program.

PIRATE88 TRACK OF THE YEAR
The Pirate88 2016 Track of the Year song contest is open! There are five categories to choose from, including Fremantle, Western Australia, Youth-Global, Australia, and the World. Applications close 31 October.

DCA GRANTS PROGRAM
The new DCA Grants Program has just been announced, with changes now allowing for individuals, groups and arts organisations to apply for different types of funding in five categories including Creative Development, Commercial Development, Community Engagement, Aboriginal Arts, and Scholarship and Fellowships. DCA encourages all applicants to ensure their applications are in alignment with all criteria and to read all applicant resources.

RADIO FREMANTLE SEEKING ARTISTS

EMERGE YOUTH ART AWARDS
Applications are open for young bands, duos and solos act under 25 to perform at Emerge Youth Art Awards on Saturday 20 August 2-6pm. This is a paid performance opportunity for bands suitable for an art exhibition and awards ceremony. Interested musicians should email Mel Dias, Community Development Officer at [email protected] with their name, telephone, email, name of act, number of artists, musicians & links to music.

THE SEED GRANTS PROGRAM
After another successful year in 2015 assisting young muso’s and business folk alike, The Seed launches the grant round for 2016. Applications are open for all music managers, artists, indigenous artists and self-manager artists and are open until 1st August.

CITY OF JOONDALUP ARTS DEVELOPMENT SCHEME
Apply for up to $10,000 for your performing arts project, performance or initiative through the City Of Joondalup Arts Development Scheme. Applications for the second round close Thursday 20 October 2016, 5.00pm. Download the information booklet to apply.
