The Newport Record Club Album Series

15 May

The Newport and local muso extraordinaire Steve Parkin have announced the launch of the Record Club, which will see some of WA’s most beloved and recognizable musicians pay homage to their favorite artists and albums. The weekly event will kick off on Thursday 5 June with blues rock exponents The Date to play Lou Reed’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Animal in entirety as well as a selection greatest hits. The series will take place through to August and with members of Eskimo Joe, The Chemist, End Of Fashion, Sleepy Jackson, Timothy Nelson & The Infidels, The Basement Birds and more joining forces in super-tributes such as Fleetwood Rack (Fleetwood Mac), Pink Eye Town (Weezer), Kim Deal Or Bo Deal (The Pixies) and culminating in an audio visual performance of Pink Floyd’s The Wall you won’t want to miss out.
