Alongside the superb launch of new music venue Badlands Bar on the weekend just gone, the good live music venue news continues, with the old Rechabites now confirmed to be turned into a multi-entertainment complex, taking in live music.

As reported in the most recent edition of The Sunday Times, the venue plans “show a music venue in the basement…live performance on the first level and a rooftop cocktail bar.” Involved is Marcus Canning, the CEO of both Artrage and Fringe World, and also responsible for the much-loved, now-closed venue The Bakery. Also involved are frequent WAM Festival-supporters MRA aka Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority. In other words, it’s a safe bet they will do an amazing job of revitalising this incredible old building into a venue fit for fine times surrounded by live music!
