At 8 simultaneous events around Australia, the winners of the 2019 National Live Music Awards have been revealed! The awards once again highlight the strength and diversity of the Australian Live Music Scene, with our WA celebrations at Mojo’s Bar showcasing the incredible Nominees, five WA Award winners and two home-grown International award winners.

Jack Davies and The Bush Chooks and Carla Geneve took out the two WA Live Performance Awards with Mojo’s Bar once again taking home the WA Best Live Music Venue award. We were so excited to see our very own WAMFest take home the best WA Live music event award, and very special mention to our Audience Development Officer and Girls Rock! WA Co-Ordinator awarded the WA All Ages Achievement.

As we moved on to the Industry voted International Awards, Stella Donnelly was awarded the International Live Achievement Award (solo), highlighting her talent and hard work over the previous 12 months with multiple international tours, festival appearances and headline shows under her belt. Jenniffer Aslett (Stella Donnelly, San Cisco) took home the International Best Live Bassist of the year having showcased her skills on stage locally, nationally and internationally for many years!

The evening saw incredible performances by WA talents, Lucy Peach, Your Girl Pho and The Wilds – the perfect accompaniment to a room full of talent.

Congratulations to all the Nominees and Award Winners – we can’t wait to see what our WA Community achieves next! You can check out the photos from the event HERE, courtesy of Linda Dunjey for the NLMAs. The full list of National winners and state awards HERE.
