Nannup Music Festival 2020
The countdown has began for Nannup Music Festival this weekend!
Now in its 31st year, Nannup Music Festival promises an array of acts, performances, workshops and talks throughout the small town of Nannup; a historic timber town on the banks of the Blackwood River in the South West. This years festival sold out in record time, so we hope you have your tickets and camping gear ready.
The festival aims to create, connect and strengthen community through music, as well as encouraging and promoting emerging and Indigenous Artists. Nannup Music Festival wants to drive local economic activity and support, whilst respecting the environment and minimising out impact. With the Green Steps initiative, Nannup Music Festival are able to main a commitment to minimising environmental impact and creating awareness on environmental issues. The festival allows people of different ages and backgrounds to come together and connect, share and discover in a unique setting. The festival is completely family friendly, allowing young people to feel safe and share experiences.
The community spirited event started in 1989, operated by a dedicated team of Committee and Staff from the non profit Nannup Music Club Inc. The festival has consistently proven to be a much anticipated event in WA’s music calendar. Nannup is part of Nyoongar Boodjar lands and is home to 14 language groups. Nannup Town is situated on the lands of the Bibbulman people and the north side of the Blackwood River (Bilyar Goorbalbilyup) becomes Wardandi Country. The festival takes place during Bunuru – Second Summer every year.
