Ever wanted to know how to excel as a music manager or managing your own music? APRA AMCOS and WAM present a Music Industry Sundowner Session solely devoted to all the ins-and-outs of music management from four WA-based industry experts.  Join Jake Snell (Monster Management, AAM, The Ghost Hotel), Daniel Cribb (The Music, The Decline), Mark Neal (The Disappointed) and moderator Claire Hodgson (WAM) as they discuss their experiences managing other artists, working with managers and looking after their own musical projects in a fun and informative session at The Rosemount Hotel.

When: Tuesday 5 August, 6 – 7:30pm
Where: Bar 459, The Rosemount Hotel, cnr Angove and Fitzgerald St’s, North Perth

Jake Snell – Booker for a ton of local venues at Monster Management, Jake also manages Boom Bap Pow!, Split Seconds, Methyl Ethyl and Stillwater Giants, and is kept busy in his other roles as the WA Coordinator for the Association of Artist Managers (AAM) and guitarist for local alt-country act, The Ghost Hotel.

Daniel Cribb – Editor of the The Music (WA) Dan has a number of musical projects on the go, such as The Decline and Dan Cribb and The Isolated, plus he also runs Perth-based entertainment management and booking agency 5hrFlight, which focuses on supporting acts in the punk and hardcore realms.

Mark Neal – Originally from Denmark in WA where he played in experimental indie jazz outfit Minute 36, Mark has had ample experience managing his own bands, including current act The Disappointed. Mark also wears many industry hats working as a venue booker, street-press ad rep and presenter on RTRFM.

Claire Hodgson (Moderator) – WAM’s Membership & Industry Development Officer, Claire coordinates the WAM Workshop Series and Conference at WAM and in her spare time has previously dabbled in music management. Currently Claire is a self-managed artist with her own band, The Shakeys, and also regularly presents on RTRFM.
