AMP’S TOMORROW FUND IS NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS
AMP’s Tomorrow Fund is once again offering $1 million in grants to amazing Australians doing great things – including musicians! Last year AMP’s Tomorrow Fund awarded 45 grants, including one to Perth jazz musician Harry Mitchell, who used his grant to record a new album. If you’re interested in earning cash to fuel your passion, get your application in before 12 May 2018.
PRIMARY SCHOOL MUSIC TEACHERS WANTED
Are you a specialist music teacher or a teacher with a passion for music? Anzak education are looking for quality primary music teachers for schools across Perth. Must have primary teaching qualification and current registration with the TRBWA to apply.
KEYBOARD & GUITAR TEACHERS NEEDED IN MANDURAH
Primary Music Institute are seeking music teachers on casual employment basis to teach group and private lessons to primary school students in Mandurah area. Must have playing skills at least equivalent to AMEB grade 5, a current drivers license and car, working with children clearance, and a willingness to teach after school hours.
ST MARK’S IS LOOKING FOR IT’S NEW FRECH HORN TUTOR
St Mark’s are currently advertising for a French Horn tutor to deliver 40 minutes per week from Term 2, 2018. This is a part time position, with tutors paid monthly (including super). Appropriate tertiary qualifications and working with children card are needed, and a 100 point ID check will be required if the position is offered. Applications close 6 April.
MUSIC TUTOR NEEDED AT ABMUSIC
The role involves teaching Indigenous adults aged 17 and up in CUA20615 Certificate II in Music Industry, CUA30915 Certificate III in Music Industry, Certificate III in Technical Production and Diploma of Music Industry CUA50815. The successful applicant will be a passionate musician and teacher, have strong communication skills, hold some technical experience for the production of live music, and must acknowledge and respect Indigenous culture and values.

Organisations, individuals and collectives can apply for up to $10,000.00 in funding for any performing arts initiative which engages the community and meets the funding criteria. Applications close for first round 5 pm Thursday 19 April 2018.
ROCKINGHAM PRIMARY SCHOOLS SEEKS MUSIC TEACHERS
Edu-Music are currently seeking Instrumental Music Teachers to teach Guitar & Keyboard at Two Rockingham Primary School’s. The position requires applicants to be available Tuesdays and Fridays and offers between $30 – $75 per hour depending on skill level and relevant experience. Those who apply must hold valid Driver’s License, Working With Children Check and Police Clearance.

WANMA PORTAL
The Western Australian New Music Archive is an interactive web portal presenting a collection of content related to the history of new music in Western Australia. You will find a range of material here including audio and video recordings, images, and a range of documents. The original collection has been drawn from the Tura and ABC Classic FM archives, but it is hoped that the collection will be added to through the participation of those involved in the new music scene in Western Australia. They’re also looking for WA releases to be added.
BUILDING BETTER REGIONS FUND – NOW OPEN
Building Better Regions Fund supports the Australian Government’s commitment to create jobs, drive economic growth and build stronger regional communities into the future. The program will run over four years from 2016-17 to 2019-20.
There are two streams of funding available under the program:
INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS STREAM– The minimum grant amount is $20,000 and the maximum grant amount is $10 million. You must complete your project by 31 December 2019.
COMMUNITY INVESTMENTS STREAM – The minimum grant amount is $5,000 and the maximum grant amount is $10 million, however given the nature of eligible projects we expect most grants will be under $100,000. You must complete your project within 12 months of executing the grant agreement with the Commonwealth and by 31 December 2019.

Music company The Sync Report has hit the DIY market with a series of colourful videos that highlight the importance of sync licensing in the music industry. ‘The Slapman Series’ the animated short films introduce Slapper and his mohawked dog Mr Rex who promptly slap people who tell them that they are too lazy to build a fan base, get media attention and earn an income with their music.
