LAUNCHPAD: WA’s biggest guide for local launches

There’s constantly a heap of sweet new tunes coming out of WA, and LaunchPad is here to fill you in on the latest single, video, EP and album launches from local acts of all genres over the next fortnight…

 

Hip hop indie rapper Marksman Lloyd will release his new single ‘Seven Laps’ on Friday 5 August at the Babushka with supporting acts Coin Banks, Alex Ford, Anders and Beckons. More info here.

Desert rockers OHM RUNE release their debut double A-side vinyl ‘Star Destroyer’ and ‘Adrift’ on Friday 12 August at the Fly By Night Musicians Club with supporting acts Scalphunter, Black Stone From The Sun,Chuck Hombre’ and Enemy Minds; Friday 19  at The Prince Of Wales Hotel; and Friday 26 at The Boston w. Dead End Brawler, Hope Street & FUZZ TOADS. More info here.

Blues-roots act Vorsen play the Odd Fellow on Saturday 6 August to launch their new single Take Your Mark, with supporting acts Kallan Phillips, Elephant Isle and Villanova Music. More info here.

ARIA Award winning singer-songwriter Bob Evans will be releasing his new LP ‘Car Boot Sale’ on Saturday 6 August at Jack Rabbit Slims, and then Sunday 7 August at Mojo’s with supporting acts Tom Ballard, Tony Buchen and more. More info here.

► Atmospheric electronic artists Late Night Hysterics are launching their debut EP Shanada Friday 12 August at The Bird with Segue Safari and Sacred Flower Union; and then Saturday 27 at Prince of Wales in Bunbury with Salary and Brayden Sibbald. More info here.

► Electronic dance duo COMMAND Q will launch their new debut EP ‘We Are Animals’ on Friday 12 August at Jack Rabbit Slim’s, with supporting act LOLO BX. More info here.

West Australian Music award winner Morgan Bain is launching his new single Summed It Up, with special guest Timothy Nelson, at Jimmy’s Den on Friday 12. More info here

► Country punk rockers Jeff’s Dead celebrate their album launch on Saturday 13 August at Mojo’s Bar with The Floors, The Pissedcolas, Seague Safari, Racco Charles and the Moke Folk and Petticoat Junkyard. More info here.
