There’s no better way to spend your weekend than by checking out some fresh local tunes! Here’s what’s coming up…


Plenty for everyone this week… Garage rockers Doctopus celebrate their first new release in years Double Dog Days at their spiritual home, aka The Bird, on Friday 29 June. Alt-folk hero Jacob Diamond’s album launch hits Badlands on Friday 29 June. Eclectic instrumentalist Eduardo Cossio joins forces with fellow instrumental explorers Djuna Lee and Dan O’Connor for the launch of the trio Lee/Cossio/O’Conner’s debut album Lakes at Paper Mountain on Friday 29 June. Blues powerhouse Matty T Wall launches his latest album Sidewinder at The Perth Blues Club on Tuesday 3 July.

Melodic hardcore outfit Idle Eyes release their 11-track debut album Bitter Work at Amplifier Capital on Saturday 7 July.
