LAUNCHPAD: WA’s biggest guide for local launches

There’s constantly a heap of sweet new tunes coming out of WA, and LaunchPad is here to fill you in on the latest single, video, EP and album launches from local acts of all genres over the next fortnight…

► Indie rockers Fine Court launch their debut single The Standard at The Bird on Thursday 7 July with support from The Kramers and Fuzz Toads. More info here.

► Fremantle folk-gypsy 7-piece outfit King of the Travellers launch their latest album at Mojos Bar on Saturday 9 July. Supported by The Surf Rabbits, South West State, Blood Groove, Lincoln McKinnon and DJ Blake Hayte. More info here.

► Pop-indie group Split Seconds launch their new album Rest & Relocation at The Bird on Saturday 9 July supported by The Limbs, Shyguy and Gem Bones and at Mojos Bar on Sunday 10 July with support from Riley Pearce and High Horse. More info here and here.

► Pop punk/rockers Small Town Heroes have their All-Ages EP Launch happing at YMCA HQ in Leederville on Saturday July 9. It’s going to be a great night with awesome support from Ready To Fire, Young Robin, Those Who Dream and The Faux and FREE PIZZA. More info here.

►Five piece band Boykie are launching their EP Family Man, Friday 15 July at The Bird, with support from new kids on the block Mt Cleverest. More info here.

► Avant-garde post dad rock band The Chlorines launch their third single This Thing from their upcoming album on Friday 22 July at The Bird, supported by Rich Widow, Mystc//Fortne and Hayden Dalziel. More info here.

► 9-piece band Salary will be playing what they call ‘weird pop music,’ for their Mini Moke single launch at Amplifier, Friday 22 July. Support from Young Robin, Pool Boy and Chief Richards. More info here.

► Proto punk band Last Quokka launch two new songs Northern Suburbs and Econovan on Wednesday 27 July at The Bird, supported by Emlyn Johnson, Doctopus, DJ Zerodent and more TBA. More info here.

► Following the release of his new music video for Ghost Indie-pop artist Matt Gresham launches his debut headline tour starting on Friday 29 July at Babushka, and continuing Saturday 30 July at Indi Bar and Sunday 31 at Mojos Bar. More info here.

► Country punk rockers Jeff’s Dead celebrate album launch on Saturday 13 August at Mojos Bar with The Floors, The Pissedcolas, Seague Safari, Racco Charles and the Moke Folk and Petticoat Junkyard. More info here.

► Pop/ Youtube sensation Troye Sivan announces his first national tour Talk Me Down, Saturday 13 August at HBF Stadium, with special guest Nicole Millar. More info here.
