LAUNCHPAD: WA’s biggest guide for local launches

There’s constantly a heap of sweet new tunes coming out of WA, and LaunchPad is here to fill you in on the latest single, video, EP and album launches from local acts of all genres over the next fortnight…


► After an incredible year or so, including releasing their first EP, and claiming two WAM Song Of The Year awards (Rock & Punk), Rag n’ Bone launch I Don’t Feel At Home In This World Anymore at The Bird on Friday 10 June. More info here.

► Catch indie-rock band The Drools on the final date of their single launch tour for Sullen Scenes on Friday 10 June at The Monkey Bar, with support from Slye Withers, Marmalade Mama and White Ox. More info here.

► WAM Song Of The Year multiple nominated rockers Ragdoll release their long-awaited debut album Back To Zero at The Boston on Friday 10 June, with support from Bellacoma Rio, The Dark Horses, Troy Nababan, Maverick and DJ Crude. More info here.

► Perth dream-pop/post-rock band LANARK have just unveiled Anywhere But Here, their first new material in two years, and launch it Friday 10 June at Amplifier Bar with Childsaint, Shy Panther and Ah Trees. More info here.

► Underwater meat rocksters Sealamb launch debut EP Waitin on Saturday 11 June at Mojo’s Bar with a two-room sweatfest incl. Human Buoy, Pond, Jay Wol Johnson and The Humble Bees, Yaqui Yeti, The Love Junkies, Dan Howls and Racoo Charles With The Moke Folk. More info here.

► Psychedelic rocker launch party alert: Sunday 12 June be at The Bird for a double vinyl release with Mt. Mountain and Hyla. More info here.

► Alternative/punk/garage five-piece and Big Splash champs Hideous Sun Demon launch their forthcoming single Oscillate on Friday 17 June at The Rosemount Hotel, with support from Foam, The Spunloves and Moistoyster. More info here.
