A series of cultural events showcasing the Fremantle motifs of live music, art and food will mark the activation of the J Shed warehouse at Bathers Beach launching Janurary 2016.

The calendar of events will be launched over the coming weeks following the granting of a Development Application of a Special Event Venue by the Western Australian Planning Commission. Plans for the space include an installment of intimate beach side concerts, an outdoor BBQ series with ambient DJs and other exciting new projects that will active the space and compliment the surrounding Arts Precinct.

Sunset Events spokesman David Chitty said his organisation has built their reputation on a commitment to music and community and the initial series of events slated for the J Shed warehouse will focus strongly on the cherished Fremantle trinity of music, art and food. “Live music is our passion, we are Fremantle based and committed to the local community and we saw the opportunity to activate and revitalise an underutilised area through the development of an innovative venue for Fremantle and the broader WA community.”
