INTERVIEW with Tenille Elkins from APRA AMCOS

8 May

APRA AMCOS are the Major Partner of WAM’s Song of the Year competition and are a WAM organisational sponsor. They’re there for the music. They help music creators get paid for their work and give music users easy ways to legally play and copy what they like. Royalties keep the music coming and ensure the industry’s future. And that’s what we all want to hear.

Tenille Elkins

Tenille Elkins started out in the WA music community as a musician and has since been a booker, studied Music Industries and has been working at APRA AMCOS for 16 years. She is the Senior WA Writer Services Representative and knows all the ins and outs of copyright and royalties.

Watch Tenille’s interview below to find out about APRA AMCOS, what they do for you and why, if you’re a songwriter, you should be a member. Plus top tips and much more.
