International Songwriting Competition – Winners

The US-based, but world renowned International Songwriting Competition (ISC) has announced its 2014 winners, and we’re excited to announce that WA acts dominated! With over 18,000 entries submitted from 118 countries, a total of 62 Australians are honored in the competition, garnering one Grand Prize win, three First Place wins, four Second Place wins, three Third Place wins, and 51 Honorable Mentions, with WA places including:

Pop/Top 40- 2nd place:
Tenielle Neda, Rob Agostini, Denny Thakrar - Prehistoric Love

Rock – 1st place
San CiscoRun

Unsigned Only – 3rd place:
Justin Snowball (Wons Phreely) – Stars

Honorable mentions: Dance/Electronica
Mwansa Msapenda - Burn This House

This year’s winners were selected by a panel of judges of American authors including Avicii and Pet Metheny, president of Warner Bros. Records Dan McCarroll, chairman, CEO, Atlantic Records Craig Kallman, President, Virgin EMI Records Mike Smith and many more.
