Need to raise funds for an upcoming project and not sure where to start? Fundraising For Your Art Practice: presented by Australian Cultural Fund (ACF) & West Australian Music (WAM)

Raising funds for your next musical or professional endeavour can be a challenging and lengthy process. Whether it be recording and releasing your next record, an upcoming tour, or overseas career opportunity – financial viability often plays into the discussion. This is where fundraising comes into play!

The Australian Cultural Fund (ACF) was established by the Australian Government in 2003 to encourage more donations towards music and the arts. Managed by Creative Partnerships Australia, ACF is a fundraising platform designed for Australian artists – upload and share your project, kick-off your fundraising campaign, and invite fellow art and music-lovers to donate. Unlike all-or-nothing platforms like Pozzible and Kickstarter, you set a fundraising goal but still receive all donations if it isn’t quite met.

Fundraising is a great way to make your music goals a reality, so we’ve teamed up with ACF to present a free informal session with ACF Manager Syrie Payne. Come along and learn about the best practice approaches to fundraising and top tips from artists and donors around what makes a successful campaign.

We’ll also explore fundraising using the ACF platform, and outline practical, successful, and stress-free strategies that you can apply to your next project.

The session if free and open to all musicians and music industry representatives at all stages of their careers. Places are limited and bookings are essential, so register your attendance by midday Thursday 6 February HERE.

WHEN: 5:30-7:30pm, Thursday 6th February. The presentation will run from 5:45-6:45pm followed by questions.
