Fairbridge Quest finalists to compete this Saturday

15 Mar

Proudly supported by WAM, Fairbridge Festival plays an important role in nurturing young West Australian songwriting talent with The Quest. They’d like you to share in a celebration of this talent at the final of the 2016 Fairbridge Quest on Saturday 19 March.

The finalists are:

Anica Karu from Perth
Aurora Gray from Roleystone
Imogen Lau from Gosnells
Courtney Santos from Coolbellup
Broadbent Brothers from Busselton

Jack Davies from Cottesloe
Finn Pearson from South Fremantle
Mitchell Martin from Bunbury
Blake Rose from Booragoon
Belgrade from South Perth

This celebration of the amazing breadth of young West Australian song-writing talent will be presided over by returning MC and former Quest winner, Alex Turner, fresh from his Fringeworld triumph. A panel of four music industry professionals (Helen Townsend, David Hyams, Mark Whitehouse and Maisie Glen) will have the difficult task of choosing the winners in two categories: 1) Song: Craft, and 2) Song: Performance in each of the two age groups. There will be four winners in total who will be performing at this year’s Fairbridge Festival on the Backlot stage.

When:      7pm, 19 March 2016
Where:     MosArts Camelot Theatre, 16 Lochee Street, Mosman Park.
