Fairbridge Festival Quest Youth Song-writing Competition

Entries are now open for the Act-Belong-Commit Fairbridge Festival Quest song-writing competition for young West Australian songwriters of folk and world music. The competition will be open to two creative categories (CRAFT and PERFORMANCE) and two age categories (12-15 YEARS and 16-18 YEARS). The four winners will receive:

  • Fairbridge Festival live performance (Sunday 28 April)
  • John Butler Studio recording session voucher
  • HK Photography professional photoshoot
  • WAM Song of the Year entry
  • WAMCon 2019 ticket
  • Post-final industry mentoring session from WAM
  • Opportunity of a Perfect Pitch Publishing deal

PLUS before their festival performance, the four winners will be treated to an on-event performance workshop with MAMA KIN and JOHN BUTLER!!!

Song-writing in folk and world music genres tells stories about people and the places they come from. This competition is your chance to tell us your stories and for us to hear your music!

HOW TO ENTER

All entrants must be available to perform at the Act-Belong-Commit Fairbridge Festival Quest Final on the evening of Saturday 23 March 2019 where shortlisted entrants will be judged by a distinguished panel of music industry experts.

You must also be available to perform a minimum 20-minute set at Fairbridge Festival, 28 April 2019.

Entries must be your original material and be received by 6 pm, 2 March 2019.
