Fair Play survey wants your voice to investigate gender representation

30 Nov

Help WAM understand gender representation issues in the local music industry by taking part in the Fair Play survey

Want to know more about – or have fairer – gender representation in the WA music industry? So do we!

WAM have teamed up with APRA AMCOS to develop Fair Play, a comprehensive report that looks into the gender-based issues that those involved in local music careers face every day. While this report will feature research across a broad range of key areas, from education and government policy to hiring and booking practices, WAM needs input from the WA industry to better understand these issues. The Fair Play survey was designed as a result.
Open to all genders, the survey asks questions about employment and experience in the local music community, and is open to both music industry and fans/gig-goers alike. It only takes 8-10 minutes and will provide invaluable information that has the potential to not only influence report recommendations, but also future policy development and – ultimately – a fairer music industry for all!
