WAM are providing its members with a FREE workshop, which will provide the practical knowledge and tools to improve your grant writing with top tips on how to best prepare your own grant applications.
With the announcement of a new Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries $1 million open access grants program for Western Australia’s contemporary music artists, as part of the state government’s Contemporary Music Fund, WAM have had a lot of enquiries about what the best tips are for writing grants.
Leading the workshop will be two grant writing gurus: Georgia Kennedy (WAM), a fundraising and development professional with ten years’ experience in the non-for-profit sector and; Mike Wafer (FY Media), a music journalist and editor since 1996, with years of experience freelance grant writing, who has also worked for various promoters, managers, media companies and artists over the years.
This workshop is limited to WAM members that are currently writing a grant application or intending to write one in the next three months.
If you are interested, applications are required as spaces are limited. Make sure to get in quick before the application date closes on Thursday 7th February, 5pm. Successful applicants will be notified if they have been selected to attend by COB Friday 8thof February.
