Strings Attached will be hitting Margaret River this October for all guitar players, makers and enthusiasts alike! With exhibitions, performances, masterclasses and more, this event is not to be missed.

The festival has just announced the first artists in their lineup and it’s impressive!

Stephen Pigram

Lucky Oceans
A two-time Grammy Award winning musician, and one of Hugh Gregory’s “1,000 great guitarists”. Fluent player of jazz, folk, blues, country and more, with an enormous knowledge of music.

The Swamp Stompers (NSW)
“Catchy grooves, intelligent songs and youthful hunger – this name has the right mix of potions to take Australian blues and roots to the next level. One of my absolute favourites.” – Lloyd Spiegel, Australian Blues Legend

Dave Brewer Band
“one of this country’s great improvisers. Anyone who doubts the potential for subtle, impressionistic and coloristic improvising in a blues guitar idiom should hear Hubert Sumlin (Howlin’ Wolf) and Dave Brewer”.

Kate Pass Kohesia Ensemble
Persian fusion Jazz led by double bassist Kate Pass, featuring world stringed instruments Saz (lute) and Oud in an exploration of unusual time structures and microtonal melodies.

Ian Porter (NSW)
One of the founders of the Australian Ukulele Teachers and Leaders Association, a studied and experienced performer, conductor & arranger.

Michael Dunstan
Fingerstyle folk streamed by millions online, Michael Dunstan returns home to Western Australia after a large string of sold out shows in Australia and New Zealand so far this year.

Sam Lemann (VIC/WA)
Sam’s influences of swinging jazz, country music, blues and islands sounds creep effortlessly and tastefully into both his Ukulele and Guitar playing, and can be heard on more than 80 records.

Harry Jakamarra
“…great storytelling, a commanding singing voice and he can pick a guitar or banjo like the devil’s on his tail” – Jeff Lang
