Musical Fruit, a celebration of 100% original music in the Peel Region, is being held all day Sunday December 13th in the grounds of the Ravenswood Hotel.
The full day festival showcases the Peel region’s finest original music, with 17 budding young artists and local industry stalwarts performing across 2 stages from 10am to 9pm.
The “Musical Fruit” album will also be launched on the day – a compilation of the best of the region’s artists performing their original material. The album features tracks from The Brink, The Littlest Fox, Indigo, The John Read Band, Clayton Sharp, Danny Bau, Sarah Wise and other popular local artists.
Music industry spokesman Danny Bau said, “On a personal note I’m rapt to be performing and to have a track on the album. For the industry this gives us a fantastic way to show the depth of talent we have in the region.”
Bleeding Ear Music owner and “Musical Fruit” organiser Dave Feenstra said, “We are fortunate to have great sponsors including the Ravenswood Hotel, Swan Brewery and RDA Peel that have helped make this happen, and the local artists have been generous with their time and material. We hope to attract a large local audience and make this an annual event.”
Entry on the day is free so get on down to the Ravenswood Hotel for a good ‘ol dose of musical goodness.
