Each year EMC attracts hundreds of speakers, artists, delegates and aspiring DJs and producers to Sydney for two days of panels, talks, networking, masterclasses, showcases, parties and more. The conference attracts some of the world’s leading figures from electronic music, and WAM Members receive huge discounts (scroll down for more info)!

This year we see a huge lineup of speakers including WA’s own beat slayers Slumberjack and Ta-ku, plus Carl Cox, Timmy Trumpet, Tkay Maidza, Mashd N Kutcher, Tigerlily, Benson, Gilles Peterson (Brownswood Recordings / BBC, UK), Jeff Drake (Head of A&R, Ministry of Sound), Ben Dennis (Artist Manager, Myriad MGMT), The Meeting Tree, Matt Stafford (Manager, Timmy Trumpet),  Jess Beston (Director, Tiny Monster), Katie Cunningham (Editor, inthemix), Anna Fitzgerald (Ministry of Sound) and many more!

In other words, it’s Australia’s #1 learning experience for electronic producers, managers, promoters etc. But that’s not all…

A program of curated events, EMC PLAY is a dedicated platform for showcasing Australia’s hottest emerging and established electronic music talent. This year’s event will take place across multiple venues in Sydney on Wednesday 2 December and provide a valuable, and unparalleled platform for selected talent to perform in front of managers, agents, talent buyers and A&R executives from around the world!

This year, all artists wishing to have the opportunity to perform at EMC Play will need to apply here. The EMC Programming committee will then select and curate a line-up of talent that best reflects the current landscape of Australian electronic music.

This is your opportunity to join previous EMC Play artists including The Kite String Tangle, SAFIA, Hayden James, KLP, Yolanda Be Cool, and Slumberjack and showcase your work to a room full of industry and fans.

Applications have been extended to close on August 5.

This year’s WAM Festival and its WA Music Conference will feature a heap of electronic music and relevant speakers, but we can’t lay claim to having an essential learning and networking experience as EMC aka Electronic Music Conference offers. That’s why we’ve teamed up with them this year to offer WAM Members the chance to immerse themselves in a wholly electronic conference, including showcases, workshops, panels and more!

These discounts currently save you $80 on delegates passes! You’ll just need your WAM Membership number when purchasing your tickets here.
