It may be a little cooler, but creativity and culture have turned up the heat since the launch of the 2014 Perth City Winter Arts Season. Now in it’s 10th year, the festival is set to deliver an eclectic mix of performances and exhibitions from up and coming young artists to well established and renowned arts organisations.
Highlights included: The Magic Flute presented by WA Opera will be performed at His Majesty’s Theatre from 15 – 26 July; the Grammy Award winning Soweto Gospel Choir, who have performed with artists including Bono, U2, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Andre Rieu, will be performing at the Perth Concert Hall on the 26 June.
The Beethoven Festival will be presented by the WA Symphony Orchestra and Principal Conductor Asher Fisch. Nine symphonies will be performed over two weekends from the 21 – 31 of August at the Perth Concert Hall. The Winter Arts Season brings into Perth a whirlwind of cutting-edge theatre, music, opera, comedy, cabaret, dance, film, literature, family events and visual arts.
