Creative-minded and music-savvy students in their second and third-year at Curtin University have had their prayers answered with the introduction of five units about popular music now being offered for Bachelor of Arts (Humanities) and Bachelor of Commerce degrees. The semester-long units, offered by the School of Media, Culture and Creative Arts, can be taken as electives offering students the opportunity to work on a real-life client brief. Eligible second and third year students can take any number of these units as electives to tailor their own degrees. These new units range from how to write about popular music and the influence of popular music on society and culture.
