Community radio under threat – needs your help!

6 May

Author

The Commission of Audit last week recommended that funding for the Community Broadcasting Program be abolished. If the Government adopts that recommendation in coming Tuesday’s budget community stations right across the country will be put at risk, including the likes of RTRFM, Twin Cities, Radio Fremantle, Noongar Radio and many more in WA. There is only a matter of days to ensure the cuts aren’t in the budget, so the Commit to Community Radio Campaign is encouraging everyone to jump on their website and enter your details to voice your concerns in an automated email to Treasurer Joe Hockey.
