Catalyst Community Arts Fund closing soon

26 Jul

Catalyst closes 30 September 2016 for projects starting from 1 January 2017. CAN will host two FREE events to assist applicants seeking funding for their community arts project, or community artists seeking research and development grants. Catalyst funding has contributed to WAM’s regional programs and is a great place to start for community artists.

Catalyst Workshop: Thursday 11 August 10am – 2pm

Artist Forum: Thursday 18 August 5.30pm – 7pm

The Catalyst Community Arts Fund supports community-driven arts and culture activities that express local culture and identity and promote the values of community empowerment, social inclusion, respect for diversity and self-determination. Projects funded through Catalyst assist the WA community to learn new skills and experience and participate in the arts.

CAN has managed the Catalyst Community Arts Fund on behalf of the State Government of Western Australia through the Department of Culture and the Arts since 1997.
