Callout for paid acoustic guitar sessions at City of Perth’s Winter Art Season

The presenting partners of WAMFest 2016, City of Perth continue supporting local music with The Winter Art Season, aiming to activate the city during winter and features art, theatre, music, comedy, cabaret, food and beverage, dance, film, literature and performances across three months from 2 June to 30 August.

An opportunity for musicians exists for a small activity running in 2 locations as part of the overall season. There are available paid time slots for solo acoustic guitarists only to play in a cabin style/themed space we are calling ‘The Lodge’ over the lunch and after work periods. Want a change of scenery from your workplace over the cold winter months? Escape the office blues and enjoy your lunch break or schedule a meeting within this cosy cabin right in the middle of the CBD.

This warm and comfy lounge offers a mixture of musical performances, second-hand book exchanges, board games and specials for your delight. Keep your eyes peeled on social media for what’s in store this winter.

Acoustic Guitar sessions will be two locations over two time periods. The first is The Lodge at 140 from Monday 26 June to Saturday 8 July. The available opportunity is at this location is for 6 musicians to undertake 4 time slots, for which they will receive a $100 payment for each slot from the schedule below:

The second location is the The Lodge at Carillon from Sunday 16 July to Saturday 29 July. The available opportunity is for 3 musicians to undertake 4 time slots, for which they will receive a $75 payment for each slot from the schedule below:

Notifications to successful applicants will be sent out by Friday 16 June.

Please note, original music is preferred, but some covers can be included. All musicians applying must supply a link to a video performance for the selection process.
