Call For Nominations: WAM Board

Nominations are now open for candidates to serve on the Board of WA’s peak organisation for championing WA music, WAM. West Australian Music financial members (those holding Band, Business, Individual or Concession membership) are invited to submit nominations to be considered for a position on the Board (current Board members here).

The role of the board is to identify key strategic policy issues of the sector, work with WAM’s Chief Executive Officer to develop policy and long term strategy for the organisation and advocate on behalf of the music sector. If you are passionate about music and want to help shape the future of WA’s vibrant music industry, this is your chance to become part of a dynamic, diverse and committed board dedicated to promoting, supporting and growing all forms of contemporary music in WA.

WAM’s board meets 6 times a year (bi-monthly). 

 Please note the following important dates

  • Wednesday 26 April @ 6pm – Nominations close
  • Thursday 27 April – Notice of Annual General Meeting and proxy ballot opens
  • Tuesday 23 May @ 5pm – Proxy ballot closes
  • Wednesday 24 May – Annual General Meeting (all members welcome)

To submit a nomination, please complete this linked AGM 2017 Board Nomination Form and return to response@wam.org.au no later than 6pm Wednesday 26 April, 2017Any forms received after this time will be not accepted.

You need to be a financial member of WAM for at least three months prior to the AGM date (since 22 February 2017), and over the age of 18 years to participate in these elections. If you have any questions as to your eligibility please contact WAM at admin@wam.org.au or on 08 9227 7962.
