Bri Clark wins WA Telstra Road To Discovery Heat

26 Aug

Rivervale musician Bri Clark, 21, has taken out the Fremantle heat for Telstra Road to Discovery, one of Australia’s most recognised talent development programs that searches for the next great generation of original songwriters.

Now in its 12th year, the Telstra Road to Discovery program provides a real and genuine pathway into the Australian music scene for emerging home-grown musicians, and Bri is now in the running to win a $15,000 music development fund and a trip to the United States to perform at the Americana Music Festival. The two winners will also receive ongoing opportunities including local gigs and education to help kick-start their music career.

Bri Clark, who plays piano and guitar, is an alternative/ blues/ jazz musician who finds inspiration for her song writing from her personal experiences, friends and family. On winning the Fremantle heat Bri said she was really excited to have progressed through the heat and is looking forward to continuing her Telstra Road experience. “I’m stoked! I’m very happy and grateful to win! I am really looking forward to going to Melbourne for the mentor program, meeting other songwriters and the great networking opportunities on offer,” she said.
