Black 'N' blue

Black ‘N’ Blue fundraiser for mental health

13 Mar

Depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide. In Australia, it is estimated that 45 per cent of people will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime. In any one year, around 1 million Australian adults have depression, and over 2 million have anxiety. In short, chances are that depression has touched your life, directly or indirectly.

WA’s Act Belong Commit (ABC) encourages the whole Western Australian population to take action to improve their mental wellbeing; and provides vital support for those suffering from depression and other mental health issues.

“Black ‘N’ Blue” will be returning Saturday 14 March at 3pm to raise funds an awareness for ABC…and this event will be bigger and better than before! ABC runs on limited resources, and – until “Black ‘N’ Blue” – had NEVER had anyone raise funds for them.

In the tradition of the inaugural event, “Black ‘N’ Blue” will be a half-day event of brutal music, stalls, giveaways and good vibes, all whilst supporting a good cause. The awesome bands supporting this event include:

Nails of Imposition
Chainsaw Hookers
Cold Fate
Suffer in Rot
Tempest Rising – launching debut album ‘Transmutation’
The Ritual Aura
Dawn of Leviathan
9 Foot Super Soldier
My Final Form
