Applications open for CES 2016 Music Contest

25 Jun

CEA is hosting a global contest with the opportunity to have a piece of your music featured as the music bed for the CES 2016 keynote opening video. You can view their previous opening video here. Not only will the selected individual or group get recognition and promotion, but they will receive over $6,000.

Who can participate: This contest is open to anyone willing to submit an original piece of music to be used in the keynote opening video and have that video distributed online.

CEA say they recognize the bond between technology and musicians, and understand there are millions of musicians that don’t get the recognition they want. CEA wants to help close that recognition gap by featuring the innovation and creativity of the people that use consumer technology to create and distribute their art.

When: The contest will run from June-September 1, 2015. Original pieces must be submitted prior to September 1, 2015.

Selection and notification of winner will occur on September 14. Selection will be made by CEA judges and will best represent the 2016 CES. Winner will be publicly announced on September 21.
