Applications for ‘Demos from Peel’ Regional Recording Project close soon!

24 Jan

Are you a musician based in Peel that has a song that needs to be heard? WAM is on the lookout for Peel songwriters, acts and bands of any level, age, and genre to be involved in our next Regional Recording Project – and the opportunity is closing this Friday 31 January 2020.

The Demos from Peel recording project will provide 10 Peel artists the incredible opportunity to record an original song with some of WA’s best producers including; Matt Gio (Rada Studios) and Dan Carroll (Rada Studios), at a pop-up studio in an iconic Peel location this March. The recordings will be featured on the Demos from Peel compilation to be released in 2020 on CD and digital streaming platforms and serviced to radio throughout WA and the country.

The project aims to celebrate the sounds of the Peel region, and uncover the talented songwriters creating original music outside of metro areas. Accessibility to recording and distribution services and often limited in regional areas, so the project provides an opportunity for artists to have these experiences in their own backyard with the support of an experienced team.

Songwriters/acts must register their interest to be part of the project before Friday 31 January 2020 by completing the following online form:
