Fairbridge Festival is one of Western Australia’s most popular family camping festivals. Their friendly celebration of folk, roots, blues, acoustic, Celtic, a capella and world music takes place 17-19 April 2019, in the traffic-free, self-contained bushland site of Fairbridge Village on the South West Highway, 5 km north of Pinjarra and 100 km south of Perth’s outlying south-eastern suburbs.
Fairbridge Festival are primarily focused on presenting folk, world and roots music, but are constantly looking to expand their offering. They will consider other forms of music which may work within the programming ethos of each festival. Although many selected acts do play covers, trad tunes or standards. Acts who can also deliver interesting workshops, themed presentations, or are releasing music before the festival will be favourably considered.
Fairbridge also book a big range of talks, street performers, circus, arts and crafts workshops, dance displays, wellness activities. If you do something awesome, they’d love to hear about it! They are continually looking to expand our offering, and love a bit of cross-disciplinary inspiration. Applicants who can also offer a participatory workshop will be favourably considered. They offer dedicated children’s and youth programming, so let them know if you can present something for these audiences. Their Youth Arts Space specifically caters to and only allows entry to teens (12-18), and they’d love applications for arts workshops that will engage, challenge and encourage teens to get creative.
