2016 AAM Manager Mentor Program : Applications now open

29 Sep

The Association of Artist Mangers‘ (AAM) Manager Mentor Program returns in 2016 for it’s 4th year, and this time they have partnered with Face the Music in Melbourne to deliver workshops and opportunities exclusively for the 2016 mentees.

The AAM Manager Mentor Program matches emerging Australian managers with established and successful managers for a 12 month mentorship. The successful mentees will be flown to Melbourne (from anywhere in Australia) for an introduction with their mentor, attend a full day, structured management workshop, The Age Music VIC Awards, and participate in the Face the Music conference plus 3 nights accomodation in Melbourne.

AAM is encouraging mid-level artist managers who meet the selection criteria, and are ready for the next step in their career to apply.

Applications close Sunday 9 October and applicants need to be AAM members, thankfully you can join up at the time of applying if you are not yet a member.

In previous years the program has boasted high profile Mentors, including Danny Rogers from Lunatic Entertainment (The Temper Trap, Chvrches, Laneway Festival), John Watson from Eleven Music (Birds of Tokyo, Cold Chisel, Silverchair, Gotye), Gregg Donovan from Wonderlick (Boy & Bear, Grinspoon, Airbourne, Josh Pyke), Claire Collins from Bossy Music (Art vs Science, D.D Dumbo, Kagu), Andrew Stone from Chugg Music (Shepperd, Megan Washington, The Griswolds, Deep Sea Arcade), Greg Carey from Umbrella Music (The Rubens, Elizabeth Rose, Urthboy, PVT), and Dan Medland from ie:music (Ladyhawke, Passenger, The Bamboos, Jack Ladder and the Dreamlanders).
