The Wheatbelt Touring Circuit assists acts in gaining vital new connections with the Wheatbelt music networks and audiences, and is geared towards establishing financially viable regional tour circuits and creating long-lasting community impacts, including previously promoting the #elephantinthewheatbelt road safety campaign for presenting partners RAC to bring awareness to the high road fatality rates experienced in the Wheatbelt.

After record-breaking audience numbers were achieved across a range of venues in 2015, the Wheatbelt Touring Circuit has been extended for a 2016/17 series, combining performances at multiple community recreation and leisure complexes, clubs and traditional pub venues throughout the region with workshops for Wheatbelt artists.

A regional touring initiative that helps champion both metro and Wheatbelt acts, the event will see a number of bands/duos and solo acts heading to licensed and community venues across the Wheatbelt region, and WAM is currently filling several weekend tour runs happening from mid-July 2016. These are paid opportunities, with preference given to the most suitable acts* and also those that are WAM Members. These tours also come packaged with a tour van, accommodation and tour manager, taking performances into venues that are often unable to host live music themselves. All you need to do is get to and from each gig safely and entertain the punters.
