40 A+ TRACKS HIGHLIGHTING THE STRENGTH OF WEST AUSTRALIAN MUSIC

Coinciding with WAMFest presented by Drug Aware and one of the most distinctive and diverse music compilations in the country, WAM’s annual Kiss My WAMi CD compiles an exemplary selection of A-grade tracks released by West Australian artists over the past twelve months. Distributed to national radio, media and music lovers to highlight the incredible array of musical talent in WA, hard copies of the two-disc set are also available free to WAM Members and WAMCon ticket holders and many of the tracks also available for free streaming and download below.

This year’s strong diversity sees the CD cover everything from searing punk to Indigenous indie rock, glitchy electronic, rollicking garage and dreamy pop, not to mention hard rock, experimental, regional, hip hop, country, folk, dance, rock, pop and much more. The compilation also includes a number of new tracks from Rag n’ Bone, Dream Rimmy, Lucy Peach and Puck, and previously unreleased tracks from a number of artists.

Indicative of the quality of tunes, Kiss My WAMi 2016 features 17 WAMAwards-nominated acts and 23 acts playing WAMFest events – making it the perfect tasting pack when deciding who to witness at this year’s #WAMFest!

Furthermore, the CDs boast 11 acts that are both a) nominated for WAMAwards and are b) playing WAMFest events, with Rag N’ Bone, Puck and Sanzu playing Friday Showcases; Verge Collection, Hideous Sun Demon, Human Buoy, Ah Trees, POW Negro, and Beni Bjah playing Saturday Spectacular; and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and Lucy Peach both featuring in Saturday Spectacular and playing the sold-out WAMAwards Party.
