A free evening with one of the world’s biggest music supervisors, PJ Bloom

WAM is excited to announce the launch of its 2014 workshop program with a free session on Saturday 22 February, 5-6.30pm at the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia, Rehearsal Room 2 that will see an intimate session with Hollywood’s biggest music supervisor, one of the most prolific entrepreneurs in the music and entertainment industry today, and a Billboard Power 100 placer, PJ Bloom.

The overall Music Supervisor for the ground-breaking Glee franchise, Bloom has also created and produced hundreds of television episodes with his company Neophonic including supervising Game of Thrones, American Horror Story and Boardwalk Empire, plus countless video games and advertisements. He’s also collaborated on soundtracks for over fifty films, working with such prolific filmmakers and television producers as Ryan Murphy, Steven Spielberg, Michael Mann, Jerry Bruckheimer and Ridley Scott, his soundtrack career totalling over 50 million singles.

With inexhaustible energy, he’s also a record company owner, Black Magnetic Recordings and Publishing seeing him sign acts such as diverse as #1 hit-makers Far East Movement, the Christina Aguilera- collaborating A Great Big World and Muse support-act-of-choice Dead Sara. He’s also won the prestigious TJ Martell Humanitarian Award and was named Music Supervisor of the Year by the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM), amongst a host of other awards and accolades. A keynote speaker and also holding a once-in-a-lifetime Masterclass at this year’s Emergence Creative Festival (click for more) in Margaret River, with cheaper tickets still available to WAM Members, Bloom will then end his WA trip in Perth by granting WAM members with unique practical advice on synchronisation and on how to make an impact on the US market, both for sync opportunities and generally as an artist.
